2015 is off and running. Many of us have made New Year’s resolutions, while some of us have given up on the whole process, thanks to disappointments and derailments.
A 2012 CDC (Centers for Disease Control) study revealed that close to half of all adults – 117 million people – have one or more chronic health conditions. Another study indicated seven of the top 10 causes of death in 2010 were chronic diseases.
With the numerous recent healthcare changes, shorter hospital stays, and an aging population, more and more people are finding themselves caring for their loved ones in different and deeper ways than they ever expected.
